NEW WESTMINSTER, B.C. -- Eli McLaughlin scored four goals and added two assists to lift the New Westminster Salmonbellies to a 9-7 victory over the Whitby Warriors in Game 2 of the Minto Cup. Josh Byrne added two goals and three assists and Anthony Malcolm had a goal and four assists as the Salmonbellies pulled even with the Warriors in the best-of-five series for Canadas box lacrosse junior championship. Michael MacDonald and Austin Shanks each scored twice for Whitby in a back-and-forth battle that saw the Warriors take the lead three times. The Salmonbellies pulled ahead for good on McLaughlins fourth goal of the game at 14:21 of the third period, making it 8-7. Malcolm scored less than two minutes later to seal the victory.
