SUDBURY, Ont. -- Connor Crisp scored his 11th and 12th goals of the season to lead the Sudbury Wolves to a 4-3 victory over the Ottawa 67s in Ontario Hockey League action on Sunday. Dominik Kahun and Craig Duininck also scored for the Wolves (13-9-6), who outshot Ottawa 48-29. Nathan Pancel chipped in with two assists. Ryan Van Stralen, Joseph Blandisi, and John Urbanic scored for the 67s (10-14-3). Franky Palazzese made 26 saves for the win, while Philippe Trudeau stopped 44 shots in the losing effort. --- SPITFIRES 3 STING 2 (SO) SARNIA, Ont. -- Taylor Dupuis turned away 56 shots to earn the Sting one point in a shootout loss to Windsor. Josh Ho-Sang and Kerby Rychel scored in regulation for the Spitfires (17-10-0) while Rychel also added the shootout winner. Jimmy McDowell and Zachary Core supplied the offence for Sarnia (9-17-2), which has dropped back-to-back contests. Williams, who had just returned to the Panthers lineup after missing the last two games with a bad hamstring, suffered an ankle injury during the second quarter of Sundays game against the Baltimore Ravens. His foots sore, Panthers coach Ron Rivera said Monday. It doesnt look like its anything structural, but its sore. So hes probably going to start this week off as doubtful. Williams, who was seen in the locker room Monday wearing a walking boot on his left foot, will be reevaluated later this week, the coach said. His absence from the lineup, however long it may be, further hits a Panthers roster already thin at running back. Pro Bowl fullback Mike Tolbert was put on short-term injured reserve last week with a hairline fracture in his left leg, and will not be eligible to return to the lineup until mid-November. Jonathan Stewart (sprained right knee) and Fozzy Whittaker (quadriceps) are out indefinitely, and backup fullback Richie Brockel hurt his ankle Sunday. He did a little bit of work on Friday and Saturday, and didnt look as good as I was hoping. Well see how he is come Wednesday when he does some more work. Fozzy did some good things for us (in the preseason), but hes coming off an injury, so I dont know how available hell be. Thats why hopefully Reaves will continue to get better, and if we end up having an emergency guy come it, hopefully thats the kind of guy who can pick it up.
